FAQs

Who is Mabel? Why are you blaming her?

Mabel is our local four-legged celebrity (and namesake). She takes her meet and greet role seriously (sometimes) and you may spot her roaming the vineyards with guests during your visit. She is a big fan of a tennis ball throw and a head stratch if it takes your fancy! Just don't blame us for falling in love with her.

Will my cabin/house have a bath?

Each of our cabins and the main house have a deep bath for endless soaking, a plush bed with beautiful linens and dreamy pillows.

Is Blame Mabel pet-friendly?

Please note, Blame Mabel is not suitable for children or pets due to the delicate nature of its furnishings and the native wildlife.

Are the cabins wheelchair accessible?

Regretfully our accommodation is not wheelchair accessible due to the limitations of our pre-existing building structures. Please feel free to reach out with any specific needs or questions you may have.

Do you hold functions?

Please email us at hello@blamemabel.com with function enquiries!

Is the area noisy?

There can be some traffic noise during the day however it hasn’t seemed to have bothered our previous guests.

Do you have a stocked pantry?

We stock a basic pantry due to our semi remote nature, which includes: ground coffee beans, black and herbal teas, salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar & olive oil. Home made/grown treats are provided based on what the season offers. Please pop into a shop for your supplies and milk if you take it. There is a general store within close proximity that is open seven days and provides basic supplies.

The local Spanish restaurant at Del Rios is open for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings.

What is there to do in the area during my stay?

At Blame Mabel you can enjoy strolling through the vineyard, hikes, watch the sunset, bike riding around our property board games, soaking in a hot bath, throwing Mabel's ball,  relax in the shared undercover outdoor area and kitchen for cooking and dining.

In the local area you can make the most of the stunning Moorabool Valley and its scenic valleys and vineyards, Steiglitz Historical Town, picnics, You Yangs Regional Park, Fairy Park, Upper Stony Creek Reservoir and more!
